If you have a passion for low carbon fuels and want to be at the heart of shaping future of mobility this Business Development Manager role presents an exciting opportunity. Working within the fast-evolving energy industry, you will be an integral part of a passionate team dealing with global automotive customers on specialty fuels with broad interactions across Shell group and industry.

Where you fit in?

Within the Shell’s Catalyst & Technology organization, the Specialty Fuels business delivers bespoke fuel solutions to automotive customers and via wholesale channels with an increasing focus on renewable products and components. The business is managed out of the Technology Centre in Hamburg.

As an integral part of the sales team, you will manage essential elements of deal delivery and material accounts across regions. You will help us deliver excellent customer service and experience and be involved in all elements of the sales process and shape the energy transition agenda for the Shell Technology Centre Hamburg.

What is the role?


Develop and manage the customer portfolio for our low carbon fuels such as Blue Diesel, Blue Gasoline, as well as future grades B20/B30/E20
Develop supply positions with Shell’s Trading business in line with underlying customer portfolio
Optimize the biofuels mass-balance for the entire business and ensure compliance with all CO2 regulation and establish the regulatory framework for use of novel components
Identify and secure relevant IP for Shell
Support ad-hoc BD requirement and process improvement for the growing business


What we need from you?

What we look for are people with a strong customer first mindset and ability to learn quickly in an entrepreneurial team environment with an extremely flat hierarchy.

Additionally you will bring:


Bachelor Degree in a technical or business discipline with about 5 years of experience
Passion for the Energy Transition
Fluency in German and English language with flexible work location
