Description
The Director, Partnerships & Strategy Advancement is directly responsible for supporting the VP of Business Development in the alignment, coordination, and collaboration of Business Development efforts supporting CPS.
Responsibilities
The Director, Partnerships & Strategy Advancement needs to be able to develop growth strategy for segment or team, prioritize initiatives and lead or support strategic initiatives from qualification to analysis and solution design to implementation.
Able to collaborate across business owners, technology and product, finance, and corporate development teams. For strategic partnerships, able to develop external relationships and design solutions across investment funds, technology companies, and healthcare stakeholders in order to form alliances that will enable growth strategy.
Role responsibilities:
Drive development and execution of the corporate strategy
Remove barriers, roadblock; utilizing data, insights to tell a story
Continuously manage individual development
Work to develop others in core and key responsibilities
Continue to model new, decisive ways of working, and alter or expand team composition as the need arises, or based on performance
Be an inspiring leader
Responsible for sharing learnings across the enterprise to enable broader change
Developing & leading a team of A players versed in new Agile Ways of Working
Required Qualifications
Must have a foundational/holistic understanding of health care; specifically comfortable and knowledgeable with the payer side
Must have a foundational and deep understanding of analytics/data; simply being able to transform data into a digestible and meaningful story
Ability to do the 'so what' - challenging the status quo
Strong problem solving skills
Proven ability to push strategic thinking and think outside the box
Demonstrates an ability to transform strategic vision into tangible change; does not shy away from rolling up their sleeves
Committed to the Humana's new agile way of working through collaboration and breaking down siloes
Ability to influence through analytics, storytelling, powerful questioning
Experience managing and developing junior team members in analysis and storytelling
Strong consultative skills: appreciate the balance of strategy vs. influence
Strong project management skills (organized, clear and follow through)
5-7 years of experience in Business Development/Corporate development
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Masters (MPH, MBA)
