Description
The Pharmacy Strategy Lead provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. The Pharmacy Strategy Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
Location: remote
The Pharmacy Strategy Lead has a variety of responsibilities serving leaders in Humana's pharmacy organization. This position has 4 key responsibilities:
Leading the development of annual and quarterly Objectives and Key Results for all areas of Pharmacy, and overseeing the OKR process throughout the year, which includes coordinating with corporate strategy on training and reporting as needed, and coordinating reviews with pharmacy and Humana management team leaders as requested
Planning and leading development of pharmacy strategy deliverables, including for monthly Humana Management Team Meet Weeks, Management Team Retreats, Board of Director meetings, and others as needed. This includes coordinating with corporate counterparts on dates and expectations, aligning on topics and storylines with senior leaders in pharmacy, collecting and synthesizing information, and conducting reviews for feedback.
Assist the Director of Pharmacy Business Development as needed with support for potential acquisitions or strategic partnerships, including leading due diligence efforts and business case development
Lead 5-year strategic planning for multiple areas in pharmacy, including creation of long-term roadmaps and investment portfolio
Travel up to 5%
Role Essentials
Bachelor's degree
6 or more years of experience in strategy, strategic planning and/or consulting
Knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical supply chain and competitive landscape
Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams
Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations internally and externally
An entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative team player, including a high tolerance for ambiguity
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications
Strong work ethic, detail orientation and passion for excellence
Strong business acumen including general understanding of finance
