Responsibilities

Humana's Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) organization is looking for a Project Management Lead to join the team working remote anywhere in the US! As an Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) Senior Project Management you will represent business needs to drive complex projects that deliver non-technical and/or system solutions that improve the member and provider experience, aligning with department and enterprise objectives. Additionally, you will manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.

Core Responsibilities

Understand the project scope and objectives

Identify appropriate roles, functions, and skillsets needed for the project

Effectively secures resources to complete the project

Initiate and facilitate cross-functional meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project to various audiences

Partner with the IT project manager to bridge the gap between Business and IT

Design, communicate, and implement a plan for completing the project; including Operational Readiness activities for implementation and transition to service areas and/or production support teams

Monitor progress and performance of the project against the project plan

Possess knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects

Recognize, monitor, and clearly document potential barriers (risk/issues) to the timeline and work with the project team to take action toward resolution and minimize delays

Effectively communicate with other operational areas in the organization; including senior leadership

Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project

Leverage standardized tools and methods within a centralized project management office (PMO)

Help create a culture that is built around Humana's values, taking actions to enable a high level of team engagement

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

5 years of business project management experience, preferably with projects that involve technical solutions/implementation and operational readiness planning

High emotional intelligence and interpersonal effectiveness

Knowledge of project artifacts such as charter, project plan, RACI, communication plan and deployment/operational readiness plan

Desire to advance project management skills

Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Work at Home/Remote Requirements

Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings

Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required

Preferred Qualifications

PMP certification

Working knowledge of Agile methodology (i.e. Scrum, SAFe)
