We have great relationships and partnerships with this assigned portfolio and we are looking for a candidate who can accelerate those relationships and take them to the next level.In this role you will have the opportunity to think strategically about new business models, solution selling and technical challenges to help us build compelling value propositions for VMware and our customers. You will engage with our highest-priority partners and key leaders at VMware to influence, align and coordinate resources to deliver impactful results and help drive execution and sales acceleration across our partners.The successful candidate must balance strategic-thinking with tactical execution; build effective and enduring partner relationships, drive highly cross-functional processes, possess a sound technical understanding of VMware’s technology, and have an appreciation for application to our partners strength.Core Job Responsibilities:Lead and grow our go-to-market partnership with our SISOs.Increase VMware’s Annual Contract Value (ACV) influenced by our partnersManage key partnership areas with assigned portfolios - strategy development, stakeholder engagement plans, joint offerings, tactical execution and alignment of go-to-market functionsBe VMWare’s advocate for SISOs differentiated offerings and valueFacilitate and co-ordinate go-to-market and internal supporting resources (incl. legal, finance etc.) to deliver desired outcomesConduct day-to-day program management with relevant internal and SISO stakeholders; play a ‘quarterback’ role to manage competing cross-functional prioritiesWork closely with the cross functional team and internal functional leaders to drive action and build world class execution capabilityBuild and maintain activity and performance reports and dashboardsRequired Experience:5- 8 years of work experience including experience in business development, managing GSIs (Global System Integrators), or in any other deal-oriented roleSoftware industry domain expertise and the ability to understand complex technology problemsEffective at building relationships (internally and with partners), collaborating, and influencing others; experience working with senior executives/ partners in cross-company projectsStrong communicator able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing; comfortable in business and technical discussionsSelf-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environmentAdvanced Quantitative Skills: Business Modeling – Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, Power BIAdvanced Qualitative Skills: Business Narration, Presentation – Microsoft PowerpointWilling and able to travel at least 25%Desired Experience:Previous background in Partner Alliance Management or worked at SISO (Preferred)Experience driving cross-functional programs or processesBachelor’s degree or equivalent; Masters preferredCategory : SalesSubcategory: Partner ProgramsExperience: Manager and ProfessionalFull Time/ Part Time: Full TimePosted Date: 2020-05-18VMware Company Overview: At VMware, we believe that software has the power to unlock new opportunities for people and our planet.
