Business Development Officer Jobs description

A business development officer position is available with any company that desires to expand its operations by partnering with other companies or getting new business clients for itself. Typical duties of a business development officer include cold calling on business numbers, discussing about the areas in which business can be done, explaining what all business services are being provided by the firm, understanding the area of operation of the prospect, appropriately proposing a business service, providing detailed information through phone calls or emails, solving the queries that may arise, negotiating rates with a company, and meeting business revenue targets assigned by a company.
A business development officer should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree. Prior experience as a business development officer may be advantageous. Excellent negotiation skills are essential for a business development officer role.
